| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was, practical,creative and structured. My top three choices were, chefs and dinner cooks, marine biologist and a model. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a chef. I selected this job because I enjoy cooking and preparing food for others. One of my daily activities as a chef would be to supervise the other cooks while they work. I also have to cook myself. In addition, I have to prepare and hand out the food. To work as a chef, I need to go to college for a minimum of 4 years. I must be good at math and science in order to become a well trained chef. In the United States, the average salary for a chef is $42,410 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $50,792. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a chef is expected to increase by 7.6%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 9.5%. I am looking forward to becoming a chef in the future. |
